The Communication Skills Test (CST) is available in a variety of versions, depending on your needs.
LO-CST- Language-Only (no industry related terminology)
HC-CST- Healthcare (non-provider)
MP-CST- Medical Provider

LO-CST – Language Only Communication Skills Test
Assesses: Ability to effectively communicate with speakers in both English and another language. Does not include evaluation of any industry related terminology.
Methodology: Interview in both languages
Successful candidates of this test will be considered ready to interact with speakers of both English and another language in a professional setting. (Industry specific/customized topics may available upon request. Customer specific content may be developed for an additional fee.)
HC-CST – Communication Skills Test for non-provider healthcare staff members
Assesses: Ability of non-providers working in a healthcare environment (such as medical receptionists, schedulers, billers, call center staff, medical assistants, nursing assistants, etc.) to effectively communicate at a level required to attend patients in both English and another language while maintaining standards of care.
Methodology: Interview in both languages
Successful candidates of this test will be considered ready to interact with speakers of both English and another language in a healthcare setting while maintaining quality of care. (Customer specific content may be developed for an additional fee.)
MP-CST – Medical Provider Communication Skills Test
Assesses: Ability of Physicians (MD, DO, etc), Registered Nurses (RN), Nurse Practitioners (NP), and Physicians’ Assistants (PA) to effectively communicate at a level required to attend patients in both English and another language while maintaining standards of care.
Methodology: Interview in both languages
Successful candidates of this test will be considered ready to interact with speakers of both English and another language as medical providers while maintaining quality of care. (Other provider assessments in fields such as public health, speech pathology, and physical therapy, may available upon request. Customer specific content may be developed for an additional fee.)
SP-CST – Specialty Provider Communication Skills Test
Assesses: Ability of psychologists, speech pathologists, physical therapists, social workers, public health workers, etc, to effectively communicate at a level required to attend patients in both English and another language while maintaining standards of care.
Methodology: Interview in both languages
Successful candidates of this test will be considered ready to interact with speakers of both English and another language as medical providers while maintaining quality of care. (Other provider assessments in fields such as public health, speech pathology, and physical therapy, may available upon request. Customer specific content may be developed for an additional fee.)
ED-CST – Communication Skills Test for Education
Assesses: Ability to effectively communicate with speakers in both English and another language.
